“From La Romita, Mexico City, for the world.”

So says the label of this Pale Ale made by Mexico City brewer Cru Cru.

A crisp hoppy aroma sprung forth as soon as I cracked it, it poured well and looks good in the glass.

The whiff of the brew, however, promised a bit more than it delivers on the palate.

Nevertheless, it’s a nice Pale Ale and one that is no doubt proud of its Mexico City roots – La Romita (The Little Roma) is a small and very beautiful area of the larger neighbourhood of Roma, which has garnered worldwide attention as a result of the Alfonso Cuarón film of the same name.

Worth a try, if you can find it wherever you are in the world.

Así dice la etiqueta de esta Pale Ale hecha por la cervecería chilanga Cru Cru.

Una aroma fresca y lupulosa escapó de la botella al abrirla, se sirvió bien y se ve buena en el vaso.

Sin embargo, el olorcillo de la chela prometió un poco más que el sabor que entrega al paladar.

No obstante, es una Pale Ale buena y una que indudablemente está orgullosa de sus raices – La Romita es una zona pequeña y muy hermosa que forma parte de la colonia de Roma, que ha ganado atención mundial por la pelicula de Alfonso Cuarón del mismo nombre.

Vale la pena probarla, si la puedes encontar donde estes en el mundo.
