Lovely stuff! Hoppy, bitter, tempting bouquet. A very welcome arrival on the palate after the disappointment of the beer I drank a half hour ago.

Calling a beer La Lupulosa (the hoppy one) and not delivering would be asking for condemnation but this IPA from the northern border city of Tijuana does – in spades.

Nice appearance in the glass, nice head and most important of all, great flavour.

Cervercería Insurgente is located in TJ’s Zona Rio neighborhood, just a mile or so from the United States border.

San Diego County is a stone’s throw away and that proximity to the great IPAs of the west coast of California has rubbed off on this beer.

Downing one of these after a long trip to the border would be just reward but throwing one down the gullet, wherever you are, is highly recommended – #1 in this series to date, dethroning the Minerva IPA.

Llamar a una cerveza La Lupulosa y faltar a esta descripción sería pedir una desaprobación pero esta IPA de la ciudad fronteriza Tijuana tiene muy bien merecido su nombre.

Buena apariencia en el vaso, buena espuma y lo más importante de todo, un gran sabor.

Cervercería Insurgente está situada en la colonia Zona Rio de Tijuana, apenas a una milla de la frontera con Estados Unidos.

San Diego County está muy cerca y esa cercanía a las gran IPAs de la costa oeste de California ha influenciado en esta cerveza.

Tomar una de estas después de un viaje largo a la frontera sería recompensa adecuada pero echarte una, donde sea que estes, es altamente recomendado – #1 en esta serie hasta ahora, destronando la Minerva IPA .
