On Friday of last week a short segment about the Mexico City Metro Project was aired on ‘Itinerario’ (Itinerary), a show on Canal Once (Channel Eleven) which is owned and operated by the Instituto Politecnico Nacional.
I was interviewed by host Tamara De Anda and we did a mini tour of a few of the stations of the system. Check it out below!

This took me back to my visit in January and February this year (2014) when I travelled each day from Bellas Artes to UNAM. I didn’t know at first about the ‘women and children’ carriages and spent the first week squashed between men. I felt quite nostalgic watching this video. Thank-you.

Peter: te felicito por realizar esta travesía tan compleja, ¡recorrer todas las estaciones del metro de la Ciudad de México y salir a sus alrededores! A pesar de que vivo en esta ciudad, desconocía muchos lugares que describiste estación por estación, lo más interesante fue que te dejaste llevar por tu instinto y no seguir una línea. Conocí tu MCM PROJECT en el programa de Itinerario y me llevo una agradable experiencia de tu blog. Por último, espero que ya abran de nuevo la línea 12 (que el único tramo en el que me he subido es de Ermita a Mixcoac) es la única línea que me hace falta recorrer en su totalidad, seguramente también esperas que la abran para agregar más contenido al proyecto.
