The short story ‘Highland Hallucinations‘ that I published on this site started in the beautiful colonial city of Cuenca, Ecuador. I suggested that the church dominated skyline could hold its own against Saint Petersburg in Russia. This photograph is my supporting evidence.

Cuenca is an incredibly beautiful city.
I’ve never been to St Petersburg, but will agree nonetheless. We are currently in Cuenca, (what a beautiful town) and staying close to the church. Every time we see it we are astounded, and moved, anew. So beautiful.
