In November 2012 I was very fortunate to spend a beautiful, calm and clear morning at the archaeological site of Casas Grandes (Paquimé) in Mexico’s largest state Chihuahua. It was my last day in Mexico – a perfect start to the day before continuing en route to New Mexico. I wrote this very short piece in retrospect.
Just after sunrise.
Beautiful light.
The other world asleep.
A long drive ahead.
Chihuahua big sky.
Ochre hues.
Calm at dawn.
